The Writer

I have always loved books, to read them and to write the stories. English was always my favourite subject at school, and as soon as the teacher mentioned writing as a lesson objective, they had my attention above else. Some of my GCSE and A Level assignments are still some of my best ideas, and from there I developed my passion to become a writer whilst I was at University. I studied English Literature at Bishop Grosseteste University College in Lincoln, and some of my story ideas were born in my favourite class; Creative Writing! What started out as a paragraph of writing on the back of a worksheet is now a fully fledged novel that I plan to be the start of a five book series. (More on that another time though, as it is currently unpublished)
So for now, Anna Marie and Lily are the beginning of something for me. The Love That Binds Us is the first Hidden World Novel in a series of stand alone stories that I plan to get out into the world. Each story will bring new characters for you to grow to love, an exciting story line and amazing places to explore. I hope that you love them as much as I do...
A Handful of Secrets is the second story in the series and follows the journey of Luna the Mermaid in her quest to spend time on land, and the third book, A Part of the Pack, follows Izzy's journey after being bitten by a Werewolf.

My stories are all fantasy fiction and all have characters that are supernatural in some way. I write in first person, and the majority of my protagonists are female. My ideas come to me in dreams, in conversations, in the ordinary day to day happenings of my life. Without an outlet for the voices in my head I'm sure I would be crazy by now; although some would argue that I am anyway!
(To tell you the truth, I think to be a writer you have to be a little bit mad
or the fantasy would soon over rule the reality)
